New Intern Joins WordWrite Communications Team

Student joins PR professionals at growing Wexford Agency

PITTSBURGH, Pa., May 28, 2009 — WordWrite Communications, one of Pittsburgh’s fastest growing public relations agencies, hired Jessica Frey as its summer intern.

A resident of Allison Park, Frey recently completed her junior year at Saint Vincent College as a communication major concentrating in public relations and advertising. She is pursuing two minors in international business and management.

“WordWrite looks for interns just like Jessica. Her experiences and willingness to accept a challenge will make her a beneficial new member of our team,” said president and CEO Paul Furiga.

Frey held leadership positions, such as vice president and president, in Saint Vincent’s PRSSA (Public Relations Student Society of America) chapter and the American Advertising Federation’s student advertising club. During this academic year, she participated in the Bateman Competition and the National Student Advertising Competition. Frey led 14 members to New York City for the NSAC this spring where the team earned an honorable mention for the best campaign evaluation.

“WordWrite Communications is comprised of strong, talented professionals from whom I can learn the specifics of public relations and media relations. I look forward to undertaking new projects and contributing to the fantastic work WordWrite Communications already produces for its clients,” Frey said.

Frey will learn from a knowledgeable staff, adapting a strategic approach to public relations that accommodates the fast, changing media environment.
