WordWrite Communications, LLC, one of Pittsburgh’s fastest growing public relations firms, has hired Leah Trimble as their new spring intern.
A student with previous exposure in both marketing and writing, she will be furthering her professional experience in public relations with the company. Trimble will assist WordWrite with expanding social media strategies, writing press releases, and helping develop ideas for furthering communication efforts with “StoryCrafting,” WordWrite’s proprietary communications model that uses storytelling to build two-way, ongoing relationships with designated audiences.
Trimble is a senior at the University of Pittsburgh, pursuing a dual-degree in marketing and nonfiction writing. She has obtained social media and online communications expertise at Murray Avenue Apothecary, followed by event planning and development experience at the National Kidney Foundation, all while writing a column for The Pitt News.
Paul Furiga, WordWrite Communications president and CEO, said, “Leah is a great addition to the WordWrite team. Her writing skills and overall communications knowledge will help us expand our social media presence as well as assist us on some unique projects.
“I look forward to learning the different aspects of ‘StoryCrafting’ and other public relations tactics that WordWrite Communications offers each of its clients,” Trimble said. “I hope my previous experience in marketing and social media will bring innovative ideas to the table and prepare me for a future career in the industry.”
