WordWrite has beenworking with Sprout to create awareness of Spring through media relations outreach as well as through social media channels.

“Sprout is excited to partner with WordWrite Communications to promote the launch of The Spring Program,” said Dustin Stiver, civic engagement programs manager at The Sprout Fund. “Their experience and expertise make them well-suited to help us publicize Spring and ensure that a region-wide audience is made aware of this timely opportunity.”

The Spring Program, underwritten by the Pittsburgh Foundation, will provide grants of up to $20,000 for biodiversity-related projects in Allegheny County, Westmoreland County, and the surrounding communities of Southwestern Pennsylvania. The program was created to complement Pittsburgh’s status as the North American Host City for the United Nations World Environment Day and the International Year of Biodiversity.

“The Sprout Fund is a great organization and the biodiversity focus of the Spring Program builds naturally on the emerging environmental sensibilities of the Pittsburgh region,” said Paul Furiga, president and CEO of WordWrite Communications. “We’re honored to help The Sprout Fund get the word out on this great program.”
