WordWrite Communications Adds Vice President to Team

Hollie Geitner brings strong public relations management skills to PR agencyhollie geitner thumb

WordWrite Communications, one of Pittsburgh’s fastest growing PR agencies, has added veteran public relations professional, Hollie Geitner, as its vice president of Client Services.

Formerly vice president of Marketing and Communications with non-profit Pittsburgh Downtown Partnership (PDP), Geitner has 14 years of experience managing public relations and marketing campaigns.  Prior to joining the PDP, Geitner was manager of Corporate Communications for Greensburg-based Allegheny Energy overseeing internal communications to the company’s more than 4,000 employees.  She also spent eight years in the Corporate Communications Department of Highmark Blue Cross Blue Shield focusing primarily on media relations efforts for the insurer and its subsidiaries.

As vice president of Client Services for WordWrite, Geitner will manage client accounts working to share their great, untold stories by using every tool in the PR toolbox, including social media, research, writing and media relations.

Geitner received her B.A. in Communications/Journalism from Shippensburg University of Pennsylvania and began her career working in the Camp Hill, PA office of Pennsylvania Blue Shield before transferring to Highmark Inc.’s Pittsburgh headquarters in 2001.
