Redstone Highlands’ social media recognized for excellence
WordWrite Communications, one of Pittsburgh’s fastest growing public relations firms, was awarded the International Association of Business Communicators’ (IABC) “Golden Triangle” Award of Excellence in the social media division.
WordWrite was acknowledged for its work with Redstone Presbyterian SeniorCare, a Christian non-profit provider of senior living communities. “Senior Living 2.0: Redstone Highlands Joins The Social Media Conversation” allowed the organization to take its usual communication methods online and distribute its messages to a whole new and much larger audience using Facebook and Twitter. The two main objectives of the campaign were to boost fundraising efforts for the Benevolent Care Fund and to provide an inside look at resident and employee life, events, news and more.
The Pittsburgh chapter of IABC announced the awards at the 32nd Annual Golden Triangle Dinner and Awards Ceremony held in Oct. at the DoubleTree Hotel in Downtown Pittsburgh. Of the 107 entries, 66 of the region’s top communicators were recognized with awards.
IABC is a not-for-profit international network of professionals committed to improving the effectiveness of organizations through strategic interactive and integrated business communication management. It is the leading resource for effective communication practice, providing products, services, activities and networking opportunities to help people and organizations achieve excellence in public relations, employee communication, marketing communication, public affairs and other forms of communication.
