WordWrite Communications, whose founder and president, Paul Furiga, has a personal connection to Alzheimer’s, lead the marketing efforts for the Pennsylvania Chapter of the Walk to End Alzheimer’s in Pittsburgh
this past fall. With a marketing committee that consisted of local business leaders, students and volunteers, WordWrite helped develop a story idea about California University students in the gerontology program and their participation in the Walk. The idea was pitched to local reporters and resulted in a story in the Tribune-Review.
Several local media outlets covered the event in October and we’re proud to share that the Pittsburgh Walk exceeded all fundraising goals—achieving more than $400,000 that will go towards Alzheimer’s care, support and research.
