The morning tweetup consisted of breakfast, networking and discussion on topics pertaining to how social media affects how organizations do business in the Pittsburgh region. Lauren Lawley Head, editor of the Pittsburgh Business Times, moderated the discussion. Participants joined live, as well as online via the hashtag #pghbiztu and the live-stream on Ustream.

Participating organizations included Giant Eagle, LivingSocial, the Pittsburgh-Post Gazette, University of Pittsburgh Law School, Eat’n Park, Fragasso Financial Advisors and many more.

WordWrite Communications, one of Pittsburgh’s fastest growing public relations agencies and an active participant on Twitter and other social media networks, partnered with the Business Times and Joseph-Beth on the business tweetup as a chance for professionals to discuss tips on managing time, lessons learned, and measuring results across social media platforms. A traditional Irish breakfast was provided by The Claddagh Irish Pub, and a gift basket was provided by Prestogeorge Fine Foods.
