WordWrite PR Recognized at 30th Annual IABC/Pittsburgh Awards

Agency recipient of two awards, chosen from over 135 entries

PITTSBURGH, October 13, 2009 —WordWrite Communications, one of Pittsburgh’s fastest growing public relations agencies, was recently honored with two Awards of Honor at the 30th Annual Golden Triangle Awards program, sponsored by IABC/Pittsburgh. The Golden Triangle Awards is an annual competition that recognizes excellence in communications management, skills and creativity in the Western Pennsylvania region. More than 135 entries were received for the 2009 competition — the most the organization has received in the past five years. A total of 52 Awards of Honor were given, as well as 18 Awards of Excellence.

WordWrite was honored in the Communication Skills division with an Award of Honor for its work with client Pittsburgh Business Group on Health (PBGH) in the writing category for its opinion piece titled “Is another hospital needed?” The http://www.wordwritepr.com/) in the Interactive Media Design category. This past year, WordWrite revamped its site as a model for the digital public relations approaches it recommends for clients. The redesigned WordWrite web site showcases the agency’s commitment to storytelling, especially the creation of the agency’s proprietary StoryCraftingSM process. The storytelling concept is carried through in the site navigation and titles for interior pages.

IABC/Pittsburgh is the regional chapter of IABC, the International Association of Business Communicators. In addition to the Golden Triangle Awards program, locally IABC sponsors programs targeted to the interests and development of professional communicators.
