WordWrite Promotes Jeremy Church to Vice President

Move enables fast-growing strategic communication firm’s continued growth

WordWrite Communications, one of Pittsburgh’s fastest-growing strategic communications consultancies, has promoted Jeremy Church to vice president, media and content strategies.

In thisJeremy 2 new role, he is responsible for the development, execution and management of media relations and content creation strategies for clients operating in the manufacturing, health care and professional services industries, as well as for organizations engaged in active public affairs campaigns.

Church, a three-year veteran of WordWrite, has counseled many of the agency’s largest clients on public relations, social media and inbound marketing, including Fragasso Financial Advisors, Kennametal and Pfizer, Inc.

“Jeremy joined our firm during a period of tremendous growth and immediately made significant contributions to our clients’ success,” said WordWrite CEO and founder Paul Furiga. “In the last three years, Jeremy’s contributions have only grown. He’s become a seasoned leader who’s spearheading our work for several clients.

Church’s promotion comes during a period in which WordWrite has added six new clients in just the last six months.

Church graduated cum laude from Ohio University’s E.W. Scripps School of Journalism. He is a member of the Kappa Tau Alpha National Journalism Honor Society. He also earned two varsity letters competing for Hobart College’s Division III varsity ice hockey team as an undergraduate before transferring to Ohio as a junior, where he joined his teammates to win a third consecutive American Collegiate Hockey Association Division I national championship.

Before joining WordWrite in 2011, Church worked in marketing and business development at law firm Burns White, managed media relations and print advertising for Pittsburgh CLO and led public relations at Culver Academies, one of the country’s most prestigious private boarding schools. Like many at WordWrite, Church began his career in journalism, as a sports writer at The Marion Star and ThisWeek Community Newspapers in Ohio.
