PITTSBURGH (September 16, 2020) – WordWrite welcomes two fall interns to our Agency of Story. Our newest WordWriters will work on multimedia and public relations projects.
SeVohn Hunter, WordWrite’s multimedia intern, is a senior at West Virginia University where she earned a bachelor’s degree in advertising and public relations in May and is now earning a master’s degree in journalism by May 2021. Hunter serves as executive director of Martin Hall Agency, a student run public relations and advertising agency at West Virginia University. She has also managed and edited podcasts for The Daily Athenaeum. Hunter will assist the digital team with execution of digital marketing campaigns.
Emily Sjoberg is a junior, majoring in public relations and advertising at Point Park University. She serves as social engagement director for WPPJ Radio and as vice president of Point Park’s chapter of Public Relations Student Society of America (PRSSA). Sjoberg previously interned for local nonprofit Riverlife and the Central Aroostook Chamber of Commerce. As WordWrite’s PR intern, she will conduct client research, write content and assist with media relations efforts.
Hunter and Sjoberg will join PR intern Emma Trimbur, who started her WordWrite internship in May 2020. Together, these three students will put their creative talents and skills to the test while collaborating with the WordWrite team on client projects.
"During a tough year in which students are seeing their college experiences disrupted in unexpected ways, we believe it's important to provide opportunities that allow them to continue to grow as young professionals," said President and Chief Storyteller Paul Furiga. “That’s why we remain committed to developing talented young individuals and helping them achieve their goals through our internship program.”
