WordWrite Receives Honorable Mention from 2019 PR Daily Content Marketing Awards

Pittsburgh (Oct. 31, 2019) – WordWrite drew some national recognition for its work with one of Pittsburgh’s top personas, receiving an honorable mention in PR Daily’s Content Marketing Awards for an influencer marketing campaign designed for The Waterfront Shopping Center. The awards recognize the most successful public relations and marketing campaigns in the nation.

WordWrite, a Pittsburgh-based public relations and digital marketing agency, partnered with local fashion and beauty journalist Kate Benz to help revive the outdoor shopping mall in Homestead. Leveraging Benz’s charismatic style with WordWrite’s authentic storytelling skills, the team implemented a video strategy to engage would-be shoppers, producing content that was reminiscent of a good friend sharing the inside scoop on fashion trends. The videos took off over social media and succeeded in increasing both foot traffic and website visitors for The Waterfront.

“For more than two decades, The Waterfront Shopping Center has offered the best food, shopping and entertainment options,” said WordWrite President Paul Furiga. “Our client looked to us to create a fresh way to share their story and we took the approach of visual storytelling by recruiting a long-time friend of the agency, Kate Benz. Our team has had fun creating a series of bite-sized social media videos — 74 videos in 2018 alone — leading to increased social media engagement, with Facebook and Instagram content reaching nearly 2.7 million users.”
